San Diego Art Book:
Create a collaborative, artistic tourism book of San Diego.

San Diego will be the topic of inspiration.  We will photograph the results and put them in the San Diego art book. We will each create an artwork that resembles something that exists in San Diego. This project will be photographed and used in our,           "San Diego Art Book".
Picture
Each student will document and describe in photos, drawings, writings, poetry, mixed digital media, collage , etc. plus any areas of personal interests. The goal is to make a book that describes the essence of San Diego from the perspective of teenagers. "A teenagers guide to San Diego". Have them document their own neighborhoods and experiences, also take them out to various locations to spend time doing are in that area. To begin, get students identifying important places of interest that should be covered. Create specific assignments to achieve specific artistic outcomes ; i.e. Photoshop drawings into photographs, merge historical photos with current photos or drawings. Make collages from collected materials from restaurants, museums, landmarks,etc....
Assemble pages as PDFs. Then web publish....
