Designing a visually intriguing and personalized professional digital portfolio
Picture
It is time to move beyond existing templates and clip art and into imaginative and novel design. Throughout the semester we will be creating and maintaining unique and artistic digital portfolios. The aim for your senior year is to think beyond simply documenting high school, to produce a web site that will aid in your transition to the next chapter of life with an easy to navigate format and eye catching aesthetic.

Objective:

Create a unique text to title our portfolio. We will work to produce a hand drawn digital portfolio header. To prepare for this assignment we will practice creating a variety of fonts that carry a visual weight by using perspective to give words a three dimensional quality.

The title in an introduction for your portfolio and should be basic, for example, “ Jeremy's Digital Portfolio”. Begin by creating a title that and proceed to sketch a design. Once you achieve the look you like, use tracing paper to define the design then ink in the final version with pen. Finally, scan, enhance or manipulate, and save.  Upload the title to your digital portfolio.

Inspiration:
A variety of titles that might inspire ideas and concepts to pursue as we design our header

Website Examples:

As we customize our digital portfolio's it is always a good idea to look at existing sites to gauge their creativity and possibly be inspired by what to and what not to do as we work to personalize our own site.
